Privacy Policy for Loop Habits

Application: Loop Habits (iOS) • Effective Date: November 1, 2026

Summary: Loop Habits is designed with a strict on-device, privacy-first architecture. All your habits, streaks, and check-in history remain strictly on your device. We do not require account registration, we do not operate user databases, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

1. Overview & Data Ownership

This Privacy Policy explains how Loop Habits ("we", "our", or "the application") handles information when you use our iOS mobile application. We firmly believe that your personal habits, routines, and daily reflections belong solely to you. The application is built so you can track habits without sacrificing personal privacy.

2. Data Collected and Stored Locally on Your Device

Loop Habits operates as a local utility application. The following information is created and stored exclusively on your device inside the secure iOS Application Sandbox:

• Habit Details: Habit titles, descriptions, categories, color tags, and icons.
• Tracking History: Check-in dates, numerical entries, completion records, current streaks, and calculated habit strength scores.
• Application Settings: User preferences, reminder schedules, and theme configurations.

This data is never uploaded, transferred, or synchronized to any external developer server. It is protected by Apple's hardware-level data protection and iOS sandbox security.

3. Device Permissions & Notifications

The application may request the following device permission:

• Notifications: Used strictly to deliver local, scheduled reminder alerts that you configure for your habits. These notifications are scheduled and processed directly on your iPhone/iPad by the iOS UserNotifications framework. No notification schedules or habit contents are transmitted over the internet.

4. Advertising Policy & Google AdMob Disclosure

To support ongoing development while providing free access to core habit tracking features, the free tier of Loop Habits displays mobile advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC).

Zero Cross-App Tracking & Non-Personalized Ads

• No Tracking: Loop Habits does not use the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to track users across third-party apps or websites, and does not collect or share Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for cross-app advertising tracking.
• Non-Personalized Contextual Ads: Advertisements presented in the app are served as non-personalized ads based on general context rather than user tracking profiles.
• Information Processed by Google: To deliver ads, prevent fraudulent activity, enforce frequency capping, and compile aggregated ad reporting, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process certain technical and diagnostic device data. This may include coarse geographic location derived from IP address (country or region level), device make and model, operating system version, and anonymous ad interaction metrics.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (StoreKit 2)

Loop Habits offers an optional premium upgrade called Loop Pro, available via auto-renewable subscriptions (Monthly or Yearly) or a one-time Lifetime purchase.

• All purchases and transactions are processed entirely and securely by Apple through the Apple App Store (StoreKit 2).
• We do not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment details. All billing information is handled directly by Apple under your Apple ID account terms.
• Subscription Management: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle. You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time via your device's Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Subscriptions.

6. Data Backup, Export, and Portability

You maintain 100% ownership and portability over your habit data:

• Manual Export: You can export all your habit history and entries at any time in open CSV or JSON formats from the application's Settings screen.
• Manual Import: You can restore your data on any iOS device by importing your previously saved JSON backup file.
• iCloud & iTunes Backups: If you have device-level backups enabled through Apple iCloud or your computer, your local habit database is included in your encrypted device backup managed directly by Apple.

7. GDPR & Global Privacy Rights (Data Erasure & Access)

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Apple App Store Privacy Guidelines, you have full control over your data:

• Right of Access & Portability: You can inspect and export all your records directly from the application at any time without needing prior approval.
• Right to Rectification: You can edit, update, or correct any past habit check-in or numerical entry within the app.
• Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can delete any individual habit along with its full history, or permanently wipe your entire database immediately by selecting "Reset All Habits & History" in the Settings menu.
• No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or habit data to third-party data brokers or commercial entities.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Loop Habits is a general audience productivity application. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Because our application does not collect personal identity data, children may use the habit tracker safely without data harvesting risks.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the application following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
